The Rapport Project

Our lab is interested in the way in which people interact, specifically how people establish rapport with one another. The Rapport Project consists of an ongoing series of studies that will help us understand the social construct of ‘rapport.’ We emphasize the role of technology in the process of data collection and real time intervention. Future studies of the Rapport Project will involve the use of facial avatars both for analysis and real time manipulation within the course of the conversation. Research assistants will synthesize relevant literature, develop study questionnaires, recruit participants, and manage data. Interested RAs may be able to design and run their own studies and analyses as well.

Number of undergraduates needed: 4
Minimum qualifications: All RA’s are expected to attend weekly lab meetings and perform lab tasks for a minimum of 3 hours per week.
